Soup's On!

Several months ago I posted a photo of Gilda stirring her pot.  Since then, I created an environment to reflect her kitchen where she concocts her brew over a fire.  On the shelf is a book of spells along with jars of bat wings and hemlock, guarded by her trusty buzzard.  There are eyes peering out from under the stump and Gilda's black cat is waiting patiently to see what emerges.

It was fun - and challenging - to create this environment, which took many hours each day for a month.  I thought the rock walls would be easy but found they took many hours.  When you finish your next caricature, develop a fun story around it and create an environment that completes the project.  Your projects are more entertaining to look at and will rate higher in competition.

I recently submitted this project to the CCA Competition and was awarded fourth place in my division.
